Parenting can become especially complicated when the usual advice doesn’t seem to fit your child or your family.
You may be navigating school struggles, neurodivergence, a child who is anxious or overwhelmed, changing family dynamics, or simply wondering whether the way you are handling things is actually helping. You may have read the books, searched online, talked to teachers and professionals, and still find yourself asking, What do I actually do with my child?
This is where I can help.
I work primarily with parents of school-age children, pre-teens, and teens. Together, we slow things down and look at the bigger picture. We explore what may be contributing to the challenges you are seeing, what matters most to you and your family, what is already working, and what may need to change.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and practical. I draw from counselling, parenting and coaching, neurodiversity, and my experience navigating traditional and alternative approaches to education. I don’t believe there is one right way to parent, and I won’t hand you a formula and expect it to fit your family.
Instead, I want to help you think through the situation clearly, understand your options, and find practical ways forward that feel realistic for your family.
Sometimes our work is about your child. Sometimes it is about communication, boundaries, relationships, blended family dynamics, or the enormous responsibility that can come with trying to make the “right” decisions as a parent. Often, these things are connected.
My hope is that you leave our work with greater clarity, more confidence in your decisions, and a stronger connection with the people who matter most to you.
You don’t have to have all the answers. We can start by making sense of what is happening now, and figure out the next step together.
